Yesterday we joined more than 100 people attending a regional meeting of the Iowa Prairie Network. The group offered instruction, community and an opportunity to network with others with our interests. Experts staffed tables about invasive species and proper seeding rates, the silent auction offered a wide range of books, equipment, seed and art to feed body and soul. The meeting was well-organized and productive and we joined IPN that day, forking over an extra $51 in the auction for things we may not have needed but will enjoy, including a pound of seed from Ion Exchange, one of the best local resources for prairie seed.
