Blizzard conditions are supposed to be arriving here at Draco Hill this afternoon, but we heard some last night as the winds buffeted the house best they could. For now, the wild birds are filling up at the feeders, the guineas are fed and watered and hunkered down in their coop and only one car is snowed in from a drift.

Jackson, of course, continues to pull firewood off of the pile and ask us to “throw his stick.” This can become quite the workout for both of us after a while…not to mention the dislocated shoulder it can cause!
