We built a geodesic dome on the site our first full summer at Dragon’s Nest – 2012. We purchased it from Dome Guys International and the “guys” were great in their phone and email support when we’d get stuck. (Residential DIY isn’t really their thing generally.) The dome’s purpose was to serve primarily for storage and secondarily to extend our food production season. That’s why we chose UV material for 1/3 of the dome and faced that part south. Paul then built large shelving units we could use for folding chairs, sleds and other large items. The floor, gravel over 6 mil plastic, would be for our walk-behind tractor and implements.
